Deciding to engage in therapy can be an overwhelming process. At times, therapy can feel necessary to help navigate a crisis situation. At other times, it can be a process of self-exploration and growth. Either way, my goal is to help you tell your story, to figure out how to overcome stuckness, and to live a more meaningful life in whatever way you define that.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is key to our work together. What happens between us can be a mirror to what happens to you in other settings and relationships in your life. Together we will examine this while also paying close attention to the patterns that frustrate you, the things you want but can’t seem to get, the parts of yourself you want to express but remain hidden or misunderstood. I am interested in what makes each of us unique and how we narrate our lives, and know that depression, anxiety, trauma and other life circumstances can get in the way of creativity, spontaneity, work and love.
I am an active listener who utilizes my curiosity, humor and warmth to create a safe environment in which to process situations and feelings. I encourage you to bring all your identities into the room so that we may come to understand how you can live in the most authentic way possible.
